On 28 September 2026, Base44 launched Base Code. It's for teams that already have a codebase: connect a GitHub repo, describe a change in chat, get a pull request back.
That's a different Base44 from the one most builders know. And the facts were spread out: a product page, the docs, a changelog and press coverage.
I wanted one page that walks through it in order, from "what is Base Code?" to your first merged pull request.
Three rules, and I stuck to them.
Every fact links to its source. There are 13 sources, and each claim on the page points at the one it came from. Press coverage is marked as press.
Show it, and say when it's a drawing. The demos are illustrations of how Base Code works, and every one is labelled as an illustration, not the real Base Code UI.
If it isn't in the sources, say so. Things the official pages don't cover get a "Not in the sources" stamp instead of a guess.
Facts were checked against the sources on 7 October 2026. It's independent: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Base44 or Wix.
It's one page with 12 lessons: The problem, The loop, Getting started, Branches, Pull requests, Secrets and infrastructure, Teams and control, Who it is for, Models and credits, Limits and gotchas, Not to be confused with, and an FAQ.
What's inside
13 sources, and every claim on the page links to the one it came from.
From the problem Base Code solves to limits, gotchas and an FAQ.
Describe a change and see the branch, commits, preview and pull request it turns into.
Every demo is labelled as an illustration, not the real Base Code UI.
Copy a prompt that points your assistant at the official docs first.
Thirty seconds of kinetic type with real captures of the guide.
It's live at basecode.aatmanjain.com, with the 30-second launch film alongside it.
Base Code is new and changes quickly, so the page says when the facts were checked and links straight to the docs. If your team has a codebase and keeps waiting on small changes, start with lesson one.
Describe a change. Get a pull request.
Open any of them full size.

Four lessons, one grid.
Built for a phone too.
The small stuff.
The film opens on the prompt box.
40 days from the first import entry in the changelog to launch.
